About Me
My name is Laura Laws and I started this channel because I wanted to get the word out about the ERA test (I thought it would be weird to put it on my Real estate channel). The ERA test is a biopsy they do in the IVF process to see when you are receptive to implantation. It is new and I wouldn’t be pregnant without it! My husband Phil and I live in the suburbs of Philadelphia. We have 3 ragdoll cats and we are due June 10, 2018 with our first baby girl! I have shared my 2 rounds of IVF as well as weekly pregnancy updates & other baby related videos. I am a real estate agent and you can check out that channel if you’d like to see more info on real estate, smart home technology and other random stuff here:
I’m struggling so hard to except this and I can’t stop crying every time I think about it ? I’m struggling so hard in life and being happy and I just don’t know how much more I can handle. I just feel so guilty like it’s all my fault.
@Cheryl lynn my story continues.. we got the car fixed and back, then about a month ago now my fiance used the money from the car accident that we had planned on using for the baby to get crib and such and didn’t tell me or replace what he used. I was very mad and stressed trying to figure out how to make it work. A week after I found this out he got into another car accident. This time it wasn’t his fault. The semi driver fell asleep behind the wheel and so my fiance sped up trying to get past him but clipped the back end of his car making him spin out and then the semi hit him again in the passenger side. So the car was officially undrivable. Ever since I’ve been experiencing daily panic attachs. We got the money from his insurance and we live in Michigan, my step dad and his girlfriend drove us all the way to illinois in chicago, going through two states just to buy a used car. Going home my anxiety was through the roof and by the time I got home I was in tears. We left at like 2pm and didn’t get home until 9pm. Three days later my fiance is on his way to work and the back windshield completely shattered! Oh I almost forgot last week I started insulin also. I’ve also got emergency panic attach medicine that’s safe for baby, and also found out I’m vitamin d deficient and my no lifting order doesn’t start until I’m 20 weeks and I’m currently only 15 weeks and 4 days. Yes I believe in god but if he’s got a handle on things he’d better start grabbing the wheel.
@LITTLE MRS. FABULOUS! I know this was 10 months ago, but I really hope you are doing okay. Sending lots of love to you !
Try to think positively. Make a list of all the blessings in your life, what you are grateful for.
Hope things are better for you. Be strong for yourself and baby. Xxx
I hope all is well with you now ??? same here
@nodira nigmatova things have gotten better since, I had my baby girl, also not without struggle. Was in labor for three days, water started leaking three days before and I didn’t know what it was. Even had it tested and they said it wasn’t my amniotic fluid, but next day I started having contractions. I had gotten an infection from that, my daughter got an infection from pooping inside me and had a difficult time breathing and was put on a feeding tube. We where both in the hospital for a little over a week and a half, I was discharged before her but then my incision opened up (I had her via c section) and ended up getting another infection and being re admitted where
I was put on oxygen because my lungs filled with liquid and couldn’t breathe along with chills and high fever. I then had a panic attack because they wanted to keep me and discharge her but was eventually deemed safe to leave just so long as I took the antibiotics. So now we are both home and doing well.
Thank you so much! I really need it some motivation to start my healthy diet, im not sure if you have a video with the products that you recommend to buy at Trader Joe’s or other stores, that would be so helpful!
I’m so glad it helped!!! I have some grocery store hauls but not related to GD. I do have a tips video where I talk about what did and did not work for me.
I’m 20 weeks and just diagnosed with gestational diabetes. Having a hard time making healthier meal choices and exercising especially when I also have plantar fasciitis. In any case I tried your quinoa and spinach recipe and it was sooo good. Thanks for inspiring me and making me feel I can do this.
It is so hard but it gets easier once you get the hang of it. I promise! Just do your best and know there is medicine to help you! Thank you for the sweet note.
I appreciate this video so much. I’m vegan and was just diagnosed with GD. Feeling lost and hopeless is an understatement. Your video is definitely informative and motivating thank you again.
Thanks for the kind words. It’s overwhelming at first but you’ll get the hang of it! Good luck to you!
Thank you so much for making this video! I have just been recently diagnosed with gd and am doing as much research as I can- your video was super calming and makes it look easy! Thanks again 🙂
Amaris Galloway thanks for leaving such a nice comment. I’m so glad it helped. I was winging it but it worked. Good luck with your pregnancy with GD. It ain’t easy.

Graciela Alejo I’m so happy to hear that. Be sure to watch my video on tips for GD. I found those bagels at wegmans. Good luck!

I appreciate you leaving a comment and letting me know. Good luck and it gets easier as it goes along.
This is such a plus trust me I smile the entire time knowing that I’m not alone in this and I’m just ready to be induce this week to welcome my baby girl into this world
How exciting! I remember those days! I was so excited to eat a brownie sundae!!!
Great job, thanks for sharing.
I am on my first week of trying the deite as I got the news last week. Honestly speaking, it seems soooo hard to keep track of every bite, not being hungry and maintain the blood sugar. I know the feeling when the test results are good and below the limit, but it ts soooo frustrating when they are above.
I just need to keep it up, keep learning till I master it for the coming 3 months
Thanks a million for sharing and I hope that I reach your good levels
It’s hard and emotional but it really does get easier as you go!
Best regards from Germany
Tip for less pain during your pricks. Pull on the tip of your finger. Rub very firmly, until the the tip of your finger has gotten much redder (this is due to increased blood flow to the area). It increases blood output and actually partially numbs the area. This will allow you to use a lower setting on your needle, which also reduces any pain. I use the smallest needle you can possibly get and my needle is set on 1. Its literally the BARE MINIMUM and it is way more than enough to get a proper reading. ???
Meagan Kunschik thank you for sharing I just started and I am having the most trouble
Thanks for sharing with everyone!
Cheese is generally very low in carbs…
You’re such a great mother already… The video was very informative and friendly. It motivated me so much! Bless you and your family ❤️
That is so sweet of you! Glad it helped.
Thank you so much for sharing your experience and ideas with food. This is my fourth baby and I’m 27 weeks pregnant. My first time with gestational Diabetes. Your video is very helpful.
Hi hw you? How is your baby now? Bocz same problem here with my wife
Thank you Ana. That’s so kind of you to say. It’s a lot of work eating right!
Thanks for showing the blood sugar monitoring part. I just got diagnosed but haven’t been back to the doctor yet to get my orders. It was nice to see what that looks like.
I’m glad it helped! Be sure to check out my GD playlist if you need other ideas once you get going. Good luck to you!
Great video, I’ve been struggling with gd food changes. Your video is inspiring me to do better 15 weeks thus far ?
Great job! Nice and early to keep a healthy pregnancy ?
I’m so happy to hear that. Thanks for sharing and good luck! ❤️
Stumbling on this video is a God send. I am vegan and diagnosed with GD today. I meet with the dietition tomorrow but scared to hear “limit carbs” as you know us vegans and vegetarians live off carbs lol. But this is the first video I watched, didnt even realize you were vegetarian at first but thank god. I can work with this.
AW! I love that!!! I remember how overwhelming it was at first but you will get the hang of it really quickly! I have a playlist with all of my GD videos! Good luck!
Amazing video thank you for being so open about GD. How many oz of water considered ok to consume a day?
I’m so glad it helped. I love drinking water so I drink a lot. I’m not sure what the recommendation is though.
So happy I found your video.
I failed my first test. Will be getting retested again. Regardless of results I want to eat like this for the rest of my pregnancy.
So glad it helped. Thanks for letting me know! Good luck! ❤️
So interesting to see what you ate in a day! I got diagnosed about 3 weeks ago and I got a mealplan from a dietician. I feel like I’m eating a lot more now than before ?
Oh wow! As long as your sugars are good go for it!
Just wanna day thanks for making this, I’m at the end of week 1 and had 2 highs so I feel a bit upset because my diet is actually healthy but those days I had to grab lunch out because of work. I’m vegetarian so this was really helpful. The quinoa looked good. X
Vegetarian makes it so much tougher. Also eating out is tough. I would check the carb count online but then it would spike my number. I think it is hidden sugars in the food. Good luck with everything! Thanks for the sweet note!
