My first pregnancy I gained exactly 35lbs. I was in college and walked EVERYWHERE!!! I ate small meals throughout the day. Took small bites and let me tell you you must walk. If you’re in a slump GET OUT OF IT! My 3rd baby concluded in not walking enough and my baby was breach. Walk ladies. 4 blocks a day. Have a wonderful blessed pregnancy ladies! This is a lovely video!

I’m currently in lockdown due to covid restrictions. I walk on the treadmill everyday. At least 30 minutes sometime more. It depends on how I’m feeling and I listen to my body.. Because I’m in lockdown. I walk 3 times on the treadmill for at least 30 minutes. But if I wasn’t in lockdown. I’m usually running around. For school drop off and grocery shopping.

I found that walking has helped boost my energy and mood. Helps with digesting. Helps with my sleep and even my back pain. It was also helpful during my morning sickness. I haven’t gained excessive weight. And when I do indulge. I’ll go burn it off.

I highly recommend walking and swimming. I wish everyone a happy and healthy pregnancy in Jesus name Amen.

I really like how you mentioned, before you eat ask yourself if this food will feed my babies brain development! That is such a great way of giving me more strength to fight the bad cravings!

@ms dragon dear, miss dragon,i do not understand the delivery part about your comment. I just apologize for offending you or anybody. Women just fascinate me. Well, used to fascinate me. I still appreciate the miracle of pregnancy and childbirth and motherhood so that’s why i’m here and always will be. I adore children. They free my mind of the curses of sexual desire and,or relationship woes, the troubles in the world and in my life, and the unnecessary wants and sins of humans. When i’m around children,i get wrapped up in taking care of them. It’s all about their little world to me. Though i 100% disagree and detest certain horrible acts women are allowed and protected by law to do in public and to men,i find nothing more sanctified than the preservation of a woman’s life and the utmost respect and adoration for the dedicated mothers of the world. I know there is no more important responsibility. The body chemistry of a woman is pure magic to me. The way they carry themselves and arrange themselves is so artful to me. I was the goodlooking(so i was told) guy that had all the girls but never had sex with them. I wanted to! Don’t get me wrong. I just had no game and i figured if i had to say certain things a certain way, then they were not interested in me but rather a line. So i might as well have just been a life support system for,,you know. Now, I actually do not like sex but that’s another can of worms and beside the point. I just wish i could live with women but not have to suffer through the sex part. I just love women. Hate the bs and games. I get so bored of that. I’d rather be tied up and forced to watch Barney or The Wiggles repeatedly than be in a relationship with someone who i have nothing in common with and who hates everything about me.

I cant believe how little people blog about this, its such a big thing. Its simple really if you pig out and let yourself go in pregnancy you’ll have it to lose once the baby is here. On top of sleep deprivation and all the rest its a massive task to start losing weight, whereas keeping it real and not overindulging does help you after birth. With my first i went back to the exact same i was before, hopefully this pregnancy will be the same.

    1. It is what it Is

I “pigged out” with both of mine and snapped back to what I was, if not smaller after both… It’s genetics. The goal is to continue to work out. Also you’ll be “pigging our” afterwards if you’re smart we breastfeed your kid.

    2. It is what it Is

@Sophie W harmful misinformation? LMFAO BRAIN WASHED SHEEP MUCH? And yes dear it is genetics. If you’re a certain body type; you only gain fat in certain areas of you body. Not everyone’s muscular structure is the same. Your mind set is the only harmful thing I’ve seen.

Thanks for sharing! I wish more doctors talked about stuff like this. I have PCOS and started my pregnancy at 195, ended up losing 13 lbs because I got sick in the first trimester. Im now 30wks and haven’t gained weight yet, but I am conscious of what I eat. I follow a low GI diet and it’s been so helpful. I don’t have a lot of the symptoms I did with my first pregnancy and that’s a huge plus in my book!

    1. Bree Hugueley

Same here, I have lost 21 lbs this pregnancy. I did suffer from horrible morning sickness for the first 17 weeks. I’m now 19 weeks and have been extremely cautious about gaining the weight back. My High Risk doctor isn’t concerned about me gaining weight. He said the baby will live off the reserves. I am eating foods (fuel) for my body. I eat plenty, but mainly water based foods. I love cabbage, brussel sprouts, cucumbers, etc. I could switch to a vegan lifestyle and not miss meat at all!

  5. Chidinma Igbokwe

I’m 7 weeks in. I’ve tried to gather as much as information on how not to be too fat after the pregnancy. I craved ice cream today. I simply blended smoothies and added a little milk and it was as delicious and I felt like a genius. I also workout. I’m sincerely hoping and praying that I pray I keep it up all through the pregnancy and lose the baby fat fast. Cheers!!!

@Veronica Bedoya Exactly. Future moms, woman, have to make sure they are healthy already, mentally and physically, before taking a child. Otherwise they end up draging their child into their unhealty habits. Thats just irresponsible and that is how we get an unhealthy society. It has to stop!

    2. Veronica Bedoya

@Lo Gee I don’t see how it’s a disgrace when they are talking about a healthy way of not over gaining weight. That is good for the baby and mama and helps with not having complications. Its common sense to talk to your doctor or midwife about where you need to be and what you should do. There are some mamas that may have to gain more. The purpose is to make healthy choices when eating. Don’t get how that is bad.

Urgh. The last month of my pregancy i was unrecognizable. Face gained weight, nose got wider, feet were swollen, was sooo heavy i got cramps just laying on my side feeling like a whale on shore. I needed this info.

    1. Oceanbreezes17

My first pregnancy I gained 10 lbs in one week found out I had gestational diabetes around 24 weeks, which was weeks after this large weight gain, girls make sure you ask to be tested early if you have noticed a spike within a short time frame. Wish the drs had caught it earlier instead they told me to stop partying ?. I ended up gaining 37lbs on a controlled diet no sugar whatsoever very little carbs ended up giving myself insulin injections. Baby boy was 8lb 4oz 2 weeks early though so I did a good job! Be encouraged being a Mama is the greatest joy!!

    2. Sara Sara

I gained 60, lost 30 almost right away. It’s not too bad. 40 is nothing girl! You’ve only gained 10! It will come off once the baby is older and you have time for yourself again, like you know when he turns 18 ??

@00 00 oh my, your comments are so ridiculous. “women can’t grow muscles like a man.” I have a feeling you have no idea what you’re talking about or how BMI works. BMI is already collaborated to be different between male and female. Yes did most women it’s a good reference. But just like men, every persons body is completely different. I am 5’9” with a large bone structure, etc. BMI is not siesta accurate. And women can have more muscle. I have friends who are taller than me but they have a tiny bone structure their wrist, ring size, all small. I wear size 10 men’s shoes and 10 ring size. None of this is calculated in BMI. It’s just the “average” also women are different, yes, especially child bearing women, their bodies are literally made to build it fast stores. Doesn’t mean they are so far and skin though. Each body is different. I am stronger that a lot of adult men I know (no, not the average fit man, most men aren’t that fit). You’re free to have an opinions but you are generalizing a lot, which is exactly what BMI does. And some of your statements are just plain untrue. Like that women can’t gain enough muscle for it to effect BMI. Or that a metabolism can’t be different. That’s untrue there’s definitely a such thing as a high metabolism

    2. J H

Thisssss. Im 33, 5’1 at 132 but I’m fit with a measured and proven large bone structure. Most BMI charts put me at overweight but if I were in the middle of the expected amount then I’d look malnourished. I found a BMI chart by bone structure and it made 100% sense. It had normal weight at the lowest I was when competing in sports in college and was at peak performance.

I loved this! I am on my fourth pregnancy, 16 weeks now. Eating healthy, and treats in moderation, so so important! I think its great to encourage women to keep up healthy eating habits as they are able. I once heard someone say that during pregnancy is when we should be eating our very best. 🙂 good luck everyone!

  7. 3rdsidetriangle

If you haven’t been working out before pregnancy. The best thing is walking, swimming and yoga. It’s easy not hard but keeps you and your baby healthy. And drink water and you will thank yourself later.

    1. tigeress09

Work out balls help too. I walked and used the ball. My baby came three weeks early 7lb 18in no problems whatsoever. Its important that you gain weight according to what your baby needs. Its also important not to stress too much about your weight. Enjoy pregnancy!

  8. Strange Amber

I love this video. Everyone always thinks you need a ton of weight to have a healthy baby but that’s not true. My momma worked out and ate healthy with me and we had great success? I plan to do the same when I’m pregnant. So thank you for making this video.

  9. Mariposa Light TV

I’ll gonna try this when I’m pregnant ? I’m in a lowcarb diet now.I will still do lowcarb diet if I’m pregnant in the future no sugar, lowcarb, rich in vegetables fibers, and high protein foods.

    1. Diffy 1991

Definitely hair extentions. The extentions have a slight more yellow then her natural hair.
I’ve never use them, but people that do do look a little more put together and glamorous and I get why they do.

  10. Essence R

I also gained so much excess weight during my first pregnancy and had to lose the weight later on. I am on my second pregnancy and my goal this time around is to stay healthy for the baby and of course myself so that I can feel my best after birth. Eating healthy and active is key. Thank you ??
